New study in the British Journal of Anaesthesia: Reusable warming blankets significantly reduce CO₂ footprint in the operating room

A recent study by Amsterdam UMC, published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia (BJA), proves that the use of reusable warming blankets can reduce the CO₂ footprint per surgical procedure by up to 44%. As part of an independent life cycle assessment (LCA), three models of common warming blanket systems were analysed, including the MOECK WARMING SYSTEM®.

The eco-friendly alternative: our lower body heating blanket in the CO₂ check

Green Zero's environmental study is based on the ISO 14067 standard and examines the greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental impacts of reusable MOECK WARMING SYSTEM blankets compared to conventional disposable blankets. A cradle-to-grave approach is used to analyse the differences in life cycle in order to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.
